About Remote Pilot
Remote Pilot training is where aviation meets real-world application. Instead of focusing only on passing the FAA Part 107 knowledge test, this stage is designed to help you operate drones safely, professionally, and with purpose.
You’ll learn not just how to fly, but how to capture, analyze, and deliver real results using unmanned aircraft systems. This includes understanding airspace, weather, regulations, and how to apply them in real scenarios.
Training typically includes:
-
Cinematic flight maneuvers for video and storytelling
-
Aerial photography techniques (composition, framing, lighting)
-
Mapping and surveying fundamentals
-
Telemetry and flight data interpretation
-
Mission planning and airspace analysis
-
Safe drone operations in controlled and uncontrolled environments
-
Equipment setup, camera settings, and workflow optimization
-
Risk management and real-world decision making
This stage is not just about flying — it’s about turning your skills into practical, real-world capabilities.

Decide how you want to obtain your Remote Pilot Certificate:
• New students → FAA Knowledge Test required
• Certified Pilots (Part 61) → Eligible through FAA WINGS program (no written test)
Create your account in IACRA and prepare required documentation.
Certified pilots must complete the FAA WINGS training and submit their application.
Complete your training through our hybrid program:
• Online modules covering regulations, airspace, and operations
• Weekly live sessions to reinforce concepts
• Optional hands-on flight sessions (California / instructor-based locations)
Apply your skills in real-world scenarios:
• Cinematic flying
• Aerial photography & videography
• Mapping & surveying
• Telemetry & mission planning
Pass the FAA Part 107 Knowledge Test
OR
Submit through IACRA if eligible via WINGS (Part 61 pilots)
Upon successful completion, the student would receive a Temporary Airman Certificate, valid for up to 120 days. During that period, the student may exercise the privileges of a Remote Pilot. And should receive their permanent certificate or license by mail after the Airman Registry process is complete.
Important Note:
FAA Part 61 pilots may obtain their Remote Pilot Certificate without taking the FAA knowledge test by completing the required WINGS program course and applying through IACRA.
International students are welcome, provided they are legally present in the United States and comply with immigration requirements.
Hands-on sessions are location-dependent and currently available in California or based on instructor availability.
